Can't Complain

Written by Toma Pro CST at 10:39 5/7-2010

  The Toma Pro CST management can’t complain about this season, it was the first whole season since the team started. In season 11 the team ride only half the year, but know we did our first full season and thinks are starting to pull off. We went from Division 7 to the 3rd and competition is getting heavier and heavier, but with Lowie Batenburg it looks like we have a captain which we can trust on. In season 11 we won 1 race and this year we won 3 races, all won by Batenburg, but also Filippus Sijmonds did a great job, he ride 3 results and one of them was in a classic, Gevelsberg GP.

  Goals

  The team has now 12 results totally, this will bring us to the next part of this seasons ending, our goals for the next one! Here they are;

  • Become a team in the Division 2 - Zyte Division
  • Fully max Lowie Batenburg and Filippus Sijmonds
  • Fully max the sprint skills of Reinout Veldkamp
  • Gain 10 results from which are 3 wins
  • Gain a new rider for the team and end-up with a minimum of 12 riders

  Finance

  A quick look at these goals from our sponsor can tell us the next fact, we have to do a pretty good job because these means with have to put in a lot of money in the team. Batenburg is almosted maxed we think with his average of 49. But Sijmonds isn’t and Veldkamp is just about to start. A quick financial fact can tell us the amount of money we have to earn this season;

  Batenburg (not going to train CB, maybe TT in the future, both none);
  CL (small) = 17.000
  DH (small) = 22.000

  Sijmonds (probably not possible to train all of this looking at the maximum average)
  CL (very good) = 45.000
  DH (average) = 35.000
  HL (average) = 42.500
  TQ (average) = 55.000
  TT (average) = 57.500
  FR (average) = 56.000

  Reinout Veldkamp
  SP (very good) = 105.000

  This means that we have to win and earn a total amount of 435.000. But this is a maximum, because the cost are calculated if they reach their maximum potential. When you could train all of the average skills of Sijmonds he would have an average of 58 and will be the best of the world probably, but the management doesn’t see this happening. Veldkamp will be our next leader in the sprint because he’s a bit younger then Batenburg, they will have great support in each other in the future, Batenburg is better in the hills but Veldkamp could be a nice cobbler with a small FR and TQ besides a average CB.

  Luck or Misfortune

  With Batenburg we have a great captain of course, with a average of 49 he still isn’t maxed and already worth 227.025$. The team is training him on CL and DH and for then it’s good at this moment. Maybe we will try to train his TT in the future if the team is able to ride a tour. We are of course, very happy with Batenburg we only think it’s a shame he is very average and not really good in one thing. If we look at his HL, CL, and TQ then we could say this he all maxed out really early. Besides that, it’s a shame he has such a bad FR, we hope his CL and DH maxed out higher so he’s able to win some tougher races in the futher.

  The team is ready for the new season and we are really looking forward to it!
